ABOUT

At the heart of Beyond the Chaos are a few simple but powerful beliefs. These are the truths we come back to again and again — the ones that guide how we show up for ourselves, for each other, and for our children.

BELIEF #1

You are not to blame.
Your child’s struggle isn’t because you failed as a mum. Addiction and mental health challenges are complex — and most of us were handed tools that don’t work for a path like this.

BELIEF #2

Hope is never lost.
Even when things feel at their worst, change is always possible. Your child’s story isn’t finished, and neither is yours. We hold hope together — because sometimes it’s too heavy to carry on your own.

BELIEF #3

Caring for yourself is essential.
Looking after your wellbeing doesn’t mean you’re giving up on your child. It means you’ll have the steadiness, strength, and clarity to show up in a way that truly makes a difference.

I'M SANDRA

I know what it’s like to feel stuck between love and fear.
To second-guess every decision.
To carry the shame, the guilt, and the not knowing what to do.

When my son was struggling with substance use, all I ever heard was “tough love,” “detach,” and “they need to hit rock bottom.”
I tried it all.

But none of it felt right.
It only made things worse — and no one was talking about what it’s really like to be a parent in this kind of pain.

That’s why I created Beyond the Chaos — to offer the kind of support I wish I’d had: evidence-based tools, steady guidance, and a compassionate space to breathe, reflect, and find your way forward.

Here, you’ll begin to understand what’s driving your child’s behavior, learn how to respond in ways that actually help, and reconnect with your own well-being along the way.

I bring both lived experience — deep empathy, kindness, and genuine understanding — and professional training as a certified health, mental health, and family recovery coach. My commitment is simple: to share the most practical, up-to-date tools so you can reclaim your steadiness, rebuild hope, and show up in a way that creates space for positive change in your family.
